Men's Golf Finishes Sixth At NAIA Preview

Lindenwood men's golf team finished sixth out of 17 programs at the NAIA Preview Tournament at TPC at Deere Run golf course, site of the NAIA National Championship this spring.

The Lions were one of just three teams that broke 300 during round one. However, the team couldn't repeat that it in the second round and finished sixth with a team score of 606.

Richard Docherty mirrored the team's fate. Lindenwood's top golfer at the competition was in the hunt for medalist honors after shooting a 71 in the first round. In round two, he shot a 79 and finished tied for 10th with a 150.

Alex Hauser finished in the Top 20 with a 152 that was good enough for 19th place. His tournament included a 74 during the first round.

Paul Colditz was the only Lion to improve on Friday with a 75. His two-day total of 155 tied him for 36th-place overall with teammate Lourens Kleynhaus. Morgan Leigh rounded out the lineup for the Lions with a two-day score of 156.
