After struggling during the first round of the NAIA Classic, the Lindenwood men's golf team rebounded in round two to improve their team standings by four spots. The event took place in Indianapolis, Ind. at the Brickyard Crossing.
Lindenwood was in 14th out of 15 teams after shooting a 313 during the first round. On Tuesday, the Lions shot a 297, the third-best round of the day. That score moved them up to tenth in the final standings.
Richard Docherty and
Lourens Kleynhaus paced the way for Lindenwood. Both players shot a 76 during the first round. Docherty then shot a one-under in the second round and tied for ninth with a 147. Kleynhaus shot 73 on Tuesday and tied for 15th with a149.
Other scores at the event included
Morgan Leigh who shot a 156,
Paul Colditz who shot a 158, and
Alex Hauser who shot a 167.
The event was the final regular season competition for the Lions. Lindenwood will next compete in the HAAC Championship on April 26-27.
