Saturday's Game At A Glance• The Lindenwood men's basketball team hosts Washburn on Saturday at Hyland Arena in a 3 p.m. contest. The game will be the program's "Go Red" promotion, Alumni Day, and Senior Day.
• Lindenwood enters play this weekend with a 15-8 overall record and an 11-6 MIAA mark. The Lions are tied for second in the MIAA standings. Lindenwood is looking to break a two-game losing streak, its first of the season, that includes a 75-73 road loss to nationally-ranked Northwest Missouri last Saturday.
• Washburn snapped a three-game losing streak on Wednesday evening with an 80-70 victory over Central Missouri. The Ichabods are currently 13-9 overall and 9-8 in the MIAA. They are just one and a half game back from receiving a first-round bye in the MIAA Tournament.
• Lindenwood and Washburn are ranked one-two in the MIAA in field-goal percentage defense. Both teams are holding opponents below 42 percent shooting from the field for the season.
• Washburn leads the all-time series with Lindenwood by a 3-1 margin, including a 68-66 overtime win earlier this season. The two teams have played just once in Hyland Arena, with the Ichabods winning 66-63 in 2012-13. The losing team in all four games in the series have been held below 70 points.
Lindenwood Notes• Lindenwood has 11 MIAA wins this season, one away from its school record of 12. The Lions won 12 conference contests in their inaugural season in 2012-13, and also hit that mark in the 2014-15 season.
• Lindenwood leads the MIAA in scoring defense (65.4), field-goal percentage defense (.401), and blocks (5.1). It is 12th in NCAA Division II in scoring defense, 15th in field-goal percentage defense, and ninth in blocks.
• Lindenwood shot 56.3 percent from the field against Northwest Missouri, its fourth-best percentage of the season. The Lions are shooting 48 percent over their last seven contests.
• The Lions are 17th in NCAA Division II by making 76.4 percent of their free throws. Lindenwood is making 85 percent in the final two minutes of game, including 42-of-43 (98%) from
Cory Arentsen and
Brad Newman.
• In MIAA games, Lindenwood is first in the league with a +5.1 rebounding margin. The Lions have been outrebounded just three times in 17 conference games.
Stanislas Heili leads the team with 7.2 rebounds a game in MIAA action, and
Zachary Biggs is second with 6.5 rebounds a contest.

Cory Arentsen set a Lindenwood record by scoring 46 points against Northwest Missouri. The previous mark was 44 set by Brandon Braswell (1992) and Earl Austin Jr. (1986). Arentsen now has two 40-point games this season, and he is the first Lion to have two 40-point games in a career.

Brad Newman set a team season-high with eight assists last Saturday. The last player to record eight or more assists in a game was Alex Bazzell during the 2012-13 season.
• Four Lions will be honored during the Senior Day ceremonies in
Stanislas Heili,
Cory Arentsen,
Sam Mader, and
Zachary Biggs.
• Heili is in his first season as a Lion and has set school records for single-game and single season blocks.
• Arentsen is in his second season as a Lion. He is one of the top shooters in school history and needs just 30 points to reach the 1,000 milestone.
• Mader is in his third season at Lindenwood, and he has recorded 494 points, 289 rebounds, and 88 blocks, third-most in Lions history.
• Biggs has played in 69 games, most among this year's senior class. He has 268 rebounds in his career, and is averaging 5.3 points and 6.1 rebounds in his first season as a starter.
A Look At Washburn• Washburn is averaging 76.2 points a contest, and is allowing 75.7 points a game. It has scored 75 or more points in eight of the team's 13 victories.
• Brad Skeens is one of two players in the MIAA averaging a double-double with 10.0 points and 10.0 rebounds a game. He is second in the conference in rebounds per game.
• Three other players average double-figure points, including Javion Blake who is scoring 14.5 points a game. Blake has scored over 20 points in three of the last four games.
• Washburn has played four overtime contests this year and six overtime periods. The Ichabods are 2-2 in those overtime games.
