The Lindenwood gymnastics team celebrated Senior Day on Sunday at Hyland Arena with a tri-meet victory over Texas Woman's and Wisconsin-Whitewater.

The Lady Lions scored a 195.275, their second-best mark of the season. This was the first time in program history that Lindenwood scored over 195 in two regular season meets, and it increased the team's Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) to 194.305, just 0.10 points behind the program record with two meets remaining.

Lindenwood earned a 0.925 win over MIC rival Texas Woman's in a battle between the top two teams currently in the conference. Wisconsin-Whitewater finished third with a mark of 192.600.

The Lady Lions led by just a 0.025 margin halfway through the meet, but had big scores on the beam and floor to clinch the victory. On the beam, Lindenwood scored a 48.900, its fourth-best in program history. The Lady Lions then went over 49 on the floor with a 49.050, which tied for the fourth-best mark all-time. In those final two rotations, the lowest score was a 9.600, and the lowest mark to count towards the team score was 9.725.

Lindenwood opened on the vault and scored a 48.800, the seventh-best score in program history. Its score on the bars was a 48.525.

The routine of the afternoon was performed by
Katey Oswalt on the vault where she scored a 9.900. She won first overall by 0.075. That mark was a career-high for Oswalt on the vault, and it was the second time in her career in any event that she scored a 9.900. Oswalt also won the floor event, taking home first place with a 9.875.

Kierstin Sokolwoski continued her strong season, scoring a 9.825 on the vault, 9.850 on the bars, and 9.875 on the beam. She won the bars and beam competitions, and placed second on the vault.

Ryan Henry recording a 9.850 on the floor, and
Andavea Alexander having a 9.825 on the floor.

Aubree Horn was the only senior in the lineup in the final home meet of the season. She had a 9.775 on the vault, which tied her for fourth place, and recorded a 9.725 on the bars, which was good for eighth. Both
Olivia Oswalt and
MacKenzie McMullan had strong exhibition bar routines, and the final senior,
Hannah Rector, had to miss the meet with an injury.

Lindenwood has its final tuneup before the MIC Championships next Friday night with a conference dual against Illinois State.
