The Lindenwood gymnastics team scored over 195 points for the fourth straight meet on Friday night in Columbia, Mo. The Lady Lions finished second in the State of Missouri event against Missouri and Southeast Missouri.

In its final tuneup before hosting the MIC Championships next Friday, Lindenwood recorded a score of 195.200. It was the third time in program history that the Lady Lions scored over 195 during a regular season road event, with all three coming over the last three weeks. Missouri won the event with a 196.800, and Southeast Missouri came in third with a 192.500.

Lindenwood was consistent throughout the night with scores of 48.950 on the vault, 48.750 on the bars, 48.850 on the beam, and 48.650 on the floor. Twenty of the team's 24 routines scored a 9.725 or higher, including six scores of 9.825.

Courtney Mitchell had two of those 9.825 marks, earning them on the vault and bars. She finished fourth overall on the vault, and placed third on the bars. She also contributed to the team score on the floor with a 9.575.

Andavea Alexander and
Kierstin Sokolowski each had three routines of 9.750 or higher. Alexander led the team on the floor, and was fifth overall, with a mark of 9.825 on the floor. She also scored a 9.775 on the bars and a 9.750 on the beam. Sokolowski tied for first on the team with a 9.825 on the vault, and recorded a 9.750 on the bars and beam.

Maya Davis and
Emily Milliet both scored a 9.825 on their only events of the night. Davis' mark came on the vault and was a new career-high on the event. Milliet led Lindenwood on the beam and placed fourth overall.

Taylor Colwell scoring a 9.775 on the beam,
Ryan Henry having a 9.775 on the bars, and
Kayla McMullan earning a 9.775 mark on the floor.

Lindenwood will be in action again next Friday at Hyland Arena when it hosts the MIC Championships. Action begins at 6 p.m. as the Lady Lions look to tie a MIC record with their fourth straight conference title.
