The 2006 women's bowling team won the first USBC ITC national title in Lindenwood women's bowling program history. After finishing the 2005-06 season fifth in the women's team national power rankings, the highest ever for the program at that time, the women's team advanced to the ITC for only the third time in program history that season. Although the squad had showed as a strong team during the year and at Sectionals, and were ranked sixth in the final coaches poll, they were considered an underdog in all but their first match at the ITC that year.
