DeDe Dorsey competed on the gridiron for two seasons at Lindenwood in 2004 and 2005. After converting to running back during the 2004 season, Dorsey would go on to accumulate 2,541 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns over the remaining 16 games of his career as a Lion. Dorsey was tabbed as a first-team NAIA All-American at defensive back as junior in 2004 after he scored three defensive touchdowns. Dorsey also contributed on the offensive side of the ball in 2004 rushing for 842 yards and nine touchdowns. As a senior in 2005, Dorsey became the first Lion to earn AFCA All-American honors, rushing for 1,600 yards and 16 touchdowns. At the conclusion of the 2005 season, Dorsey ranked in the top 10 nationally in rushing yards, touchdowns, and all-purpose yards. Dorsey became the first player in NAIA history to be named as a first-team NAIA All-American on defense and offense in successive seasons. Following his Lindenwood career, Dorsey played several seasons of professional football, which included winning Super Bowl XLI with the 2006 Indianapolis Colts.
