In 2013, Failoni started all 46 games in which he appeared in for the Lions and was a unanimous first-team All-MIAA selection, first team all-region, and ABCA/Rawlings All-American after breaking the MIAA single-season batting average record by hitting .500. Failoni led the MIAA led the MIAA in four other batting categories, including a .560 on-base percentage, 86 hits, 24 doubles, and 132 total bases. As a senior in 2014, Failoni once again led the team with a batting average of .369. At the end of his career, Failoni was the program's all-time leader in batting average (.438) and OPS (1.171), while posting 10 home runs, 69 runs batted in, and 74 runs scored.
