Randy Biggerstaff has been a valued member of the Lindenwood athletics department since coming to the school in 1997. Biggerstaff, who is a pioneer in the field of clinical athletics training, came to Lindenwood to begin the school’s athletic training education program. He grew the department into one that oversees one of the largest athletics departments in the country with approximately 1,500 student-athletes.
Biggerstaff has been recognized by the National Athletic Trainers Association in 2001 as a Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer. He was also awarded the NAIA Head Athletic Trainer of the Year Award by the College and University Athletic Trainers in 2007. Biggerstaff was inducted into the Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Sports Medicine Hall of Fame in 1995, the Missouri Sport Hall of Fame in 1997, and the Mid America Athletic Trainers Associations Hall of Fame in 2007.
