All good things must come to an end and after a up-and-down season the Lady Lion soccer team's year has come to an end. After an upset of Benedictine in the first round of the HAAC postseason tournament, the Lady Lions took on the no. 1 seed and regular-season champions Graceland Yellow Jackets. The Lady Lions put up a strong fight but fell to Graceland, 2-0.

After a scoreless first half the Yellow Jackets scored in the game's 50th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Chelsea Philips scored the Yellow Jackets first goal. Then in the 77th minute Karina Vega would put the game away with a goal and help send Graceland to the finals of the HAAC postseason tournament.

Graceland outshot the Lady Lions 9-4 and Lindenwood goalie Jessica Morelli did everything she could to keep the Lady Lions in the game with seven saves but it just wasn't enough.

The Lady Lions end their 2009 season with an overall record of 9-9-1.
