The Lindenwood men's and women's swimming and diving team continued their early season success at the Illinois Institute of Technology. The men's team beat Illinois Tech 120-114 and the women defeated Robert Morris, 80-23 and Illinois Tech, 56-46.
The men started off the meet with relay wins in the 400 yard medley and 400 yard free races.
Dylan Palmer-Givan won the 1650 and 500 yard free style and fellow Lion
Javier Hernandez also won a pair of races, the 200 yard freestyle and butterfly. Other winners on the men side was
Sergio Molina in the 200 yard breaststroke and
Simon Morley in the 200 yard backstroke.
The women were lead by
Chelsea Hardrick who won both the one and three meter diving competitions.
Lauren Thrasher finished the 200 yard breaststroke race in first place and
Sarah Billamosa recorded the top time in the 400 yard IM.
The Lions will be back in the pool next Saturday at Washington University.
