Women's Volleyball Sweeps Central Methodist

The No. 22 Lindenwood women's volleyball team improved to 2-0 in the conference after sweeping Central Methodist Tuesday evening. The win snapped a two match losing streak for the Lions and extended their regular season conference winning streak to 23 matches.

The Lions used a balanced attack to knock of Central Methodist on the road, winning by scores of 25-12, 27-25, 25-20. Ellen Fandry paced the team with eight kills and Victoria Krause added seven. Alyssa Showers totaled 16 digs and Kelsey Biggs netted 21 assists. Patricia Erb converted two service aces for the Lions and middle hitter, Krista Yoder, contributed with five blocks.

Despite losing three of their five matches last week, the Lions remained inside the NAIA Top 25 poll that was released earlier today. Lindenwood remained at 22.

The Lions will travel to Graceland this weekend for a conference matchup scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
