The 2009-10 swimming and diving season is winding down and in one of the final meets of the season the men's and women's team both finished third at the Principia Panther Invitational.
The men's team finished in third place behind the second place team, Augustana College, and the first place squad of Principia College. Principia finished with 464 points which was a 110 more than the Lions.
Chris Rojas led the way for the Lions winning the 100 yard butterfly, the 50 yard freestyle and tying for the title with teammate Marco Tscheschlok in the 100 yard freestyle. Other top finishers for Lindenwood was Diego Banda in the 200 yard freestyle and 100 yard backstroke, Thomas Sims in the 100 yards breaststroke, Stewart Bush in 200 yard breaststroke and Andrian Lopez in the 200 yard backstroke.
The Lady Lions also finished in third behind Milliken University and the top finishing Augustana College. Lindenwood finished with 278 points more than 253 points behind Augustana. Finishing on top of the podium for the Lady Lions was Kelsi Kelley in the 100 yard backstroke, and Victoria Lowe in the 100 yard breaststroke.
