The Lindenwood Lady Lions soccer team fell at home to visiting Missouri Baptist 1-0 on Wednesday night. Lindenwood dominated the play for the most of the contest but was unable to convert on numerous scoring opportunities.
The first half saw the Lady Lions dominate play but late in the first half Amy Kelly was able to pounce on a rebound and score the game's first goal. The game would go into the half with the Spartans leading 1-0 but the Lions were outshooting Missouri Baptist 13-3.
With the Spartans leading by a goal the Lady Lions continued to put pressure on the defense. For the second straight half the Lady Lions outshot Missouri Baptist, this half it was by an 8-1 margin. But in the end Missouri Baptist held the lead in the most important category, goals.
With the loss the Lady Lions fell to 4-7-1 and will get back into conference play on Saturday on the road at Benedictine.
