The Lindenwood women's soccer team ended its opening road trip of the season with a 5-1 loss to No. 20 Trinity Christian (Ill.).
Trinity Christian jumped out to an early 1-0 lead just six minutes into the game. The Trolls would add another before the end of the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the half.
The second half started with Trinity scoring just six minutes and would add another just 11 minutes later to take a commanding 4-0 lead.
The Lady Lions would finally get on the board in the 69th minute when Emily Winschel would net her first goal of the season. But it didn't take the Trolls long to regain the four goal margin when Sarah Tadla scored just 53 seconds later.
Trinity Christian would roll to the 5-1 win dropping the Lady Lions to 1-1 in the early season. The Lady Lions will open their home portion of the schedule Friday, September 10 against Southern Nazarene (Okla.) at 5:00 pm.
