Men's and Women's Tennis Teams Split with Nebraska-Kearney

The men's tennis team swept Nebraska-Kearney 9-0 on Friday night. The Lions now have a record of 7-5 on the season.

Rodrigo Traldi dropped just one game in the number one singles match on his way to a 6-0 and 6-1 win. Eric Tucoulou (6-1 and 6-1) and Yoshi Ysa (6-1 and 6-2) also picked up big wins for Lindenwood. The men's team is now 3-1 in league play this season.

The Lady Lions dropped their contest with Kearney by a score of 5-4. Gloria Marras got Lindenwood on the board early with a 6-1 and 6-4 win at number two singles. Daria Ivanova won a big three-set match 5-7, 7-6, and 6-2. Mariona Pinol also won in three sets to round out the singles victories for the Lady Lions.

The women's team could only pull off one victory in doubles play as Marras and Adela Slovakova won their match 8-3. The loss gives Lindenwood a record of 4-6 on the season, and 2-2 in league play.

The women's tennis team plays again at home on Saturday against Fort Hays State.
