The Lindenwood women's tennis team ended a four-match skid on Tuesday when it swept Lincoln 9-0 in Jefferson City, Mo. It was the final MIAA match for the Lady Lions this season. Lindenwood is now 3-5 in the conference and 5-9 overall.
Three Lady Lions didn't surrender a single game in their respective singles matches.
Gloria Marras (no. 2),
Daria Ivanova (no. 3) and
Sarah Sharpe (no. 5) all beat their opponents 6-0 and 6-0. Number one singles player
Adela Slovakova gave up just one game on her way to a 6-0 and 6-1 victory.
In doubles play, Slovakova and Marras won the number one match 8-4. Ivanova and Sharpe teamed up for an 8-1 doubles victory.
Alexandra Medvedeva and
Shreeja Karki were also victorious, 8-2.
Lindenwood will be back in action Thursday at Quincy.
