The Lindenwood women's tennis team won its final match of the regular season by defeating Principia College 7-2 on Thursday in Elsah, Ill.

The Lady Lions started the dual behind after a close doubles match and then tied it up at 1-1 after Mariona Pinol and Daria Ivanova put on a dominating performance winning their dual 8-1.  Principia took the final doubles match to take a 2-1 lead.  Lindenwood regrouped and finished the dual with a statement.

All Lady Lions won their respective duals including Pinol, Diana Castro, and Alexandra Medvedeva who each scored a shutout game.  Lindenwood swept the singles competition to take the dual 7-2 for its final victory of the regular season.

The Lady Lions will take on Southwest Baptist on Friday in Springfield, Mo. for the first round of the MIAA Tournament beginning at 11 a.m.
