The Lindenwood swimming and diving teams competed against the University of Indianapolis and Grand Valley State in Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon.
The men's team picked up a victory (154.00 – 150.00) over Grand Valley State and lost to the University of Indianapolis (122.50 – 181.50). The women's team dropped both of their contests.
The men picked up one team victory in the 200-yd medley relay.
Justin Winnett picked up first-place honors in the 100-yd breaststroke, while Matheus Isidro finished in first-place in the 200-yd fly.
Jakub Jonczyk also picked up a first-place finish in the 100-yd fly and finished in second-place in the 100-yard backstroke.
Blake Logan, Zach Linder, and
Cristian Vasquez all picked up second-place finishes in their respective events.
For the women,
Simone de Rijcke finished in second-place in the 200-yd freestyle, while
Ewa Dymarek picked up a second-place finish in the 100-yd breaststroke.
Kamila Kunka finished in third-place in the 200-yd freestyle. The women also picked up a first-place finish as a team in the 200-yd freestyle relay.
Both teams will be back in action at the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships in Cleveland, Mississippi, which will take place between February 21
st and February 24
th.
