The Lions defended the den at their home opener, the LU Invitational, held at the St. Peters Rec-Plex. The Lion men finished 4^th of 6 teams behind the University of Indianapolis, McKendree University, and Drury University and the women were 3^rd of 5 teams behind the University of Indianapolis and Drury University.  In total, there were 8 teams in attendance that finished in the top 12 nationally last season.  Both men and women were able to challenge several GLVC Conference opponents and edge out former Conference Rival, Delta State University.

The Lions will head to Springfield, Missouri for the two-day Drury Invitational November 8^th and 9^th. They will take on McKendree University, Oklahoma Baptist, Oklahoma Christian, and Drury University. The diving competition begins Friday morning at 11:00am and swimming begins Friday evening at 5:00pm at the Breech Pool.
