Lindenwood University Athletics

The 20th annual Lou Brock Golf Classic is set for Monday, August 13 at Whitmoor Country Club and for the third consecutive year, the event will benefit Lindenwood University athletics and the Lou Brock Scholarship Fund. In addition to golf, the weekend festivities include an elegant dinner and auction on August 11 that will also be held at Whitmoor Country Club.  Over the last two years, these events have brought in over $250,000. 
 
Brock, a longtime St. Louis Cardinal outfielder and Hall of Famer, is a St. Charles resident and a friend of Lindenwood. His wife, Jackie, is a member of Lindenwood’s board of directors. Lindenwood University’s baseball/softball complex is named after the Hall of Famer.
 
The golf tournament is one of St. Louis’ most exclusive, and many prominent professional athletes past and present are expected to participate. Registration for the tournament already is under way and there are only a handful of spots remaining.
