A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Mike Warren graduated from Lindenwood in 2011 with a degree in Business Administration and Economics. While at Lindenwood, Warren was a member of the men's volleyball team, including the 2009 team who won the lone National Championship in school history.

In 2010 and 2011, he led his Lindenwood team in total kills with 366 and 345, respectively. In 2011, Warren had 17 matches with at least 10 or more kills recorded and two matches with at least 20 total kills.

Warren finished his Lindenwood career fourth on the all-time block list with 354, sixth in attack percentage with .345 and seventh in total kills with 890. In 2010 and 2011, Warren earned MAMVIC All-Conference accolades.

In 2011, Warren was named an AVCA All-American. At the National Invitational tournament in 2011, he earned Tachikara All-Tournament Team honors.

A graduate of Kellam High School, Warren earned first-team all-state honors his senior season.

Currently, Warren is pursing his MBA with emphasis in Supply Chain Management.
