The Lindenwood volleyball team improved to 8-0 in the HAAC, defeating Avila, 3-1, Tuesday evening. The win also extended the Lady Lions' regular season conference winning streak to 29 matches.
Lindenwood won its fifth conference road test by scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-10, 25-12. Offensively, the Lady Lions were led by the HAAC Hitter of the Week,
Ellen Fandry, who netted 12 kills.
Victoria Krause added 11 and
Kelsey Kennedy and
Kelsey Jo Vogler each had nine.
Kelsey Biggs recorded 37 assists and
Patricia Erb converted two service aces for Lindenwood.
Alyssa Showers contributed with 22 digs and Erb chipped in with 11. Up front,
Krista Yoder totaled seven blocks.
In the latest poll that was released earlier today, Lindenwood (24-8, 8-0) fell to 25th after finishing 2-2 last week. The Lady Lions will return home for a Thursday match against Maryville University at 6:00 p.m.
