Led by
Ellen Fandry and
Krista Yoder's double-doubles, the Lindenwood volleyball team defeated HAAC rival Baker, 3-1, Tuesday evening. The win extended the Lions' regular season conference winning streak to 26 games and counting.
Fresh off winning four matches at the Lindenwood Invitational, a focused Lions team set the tone early against a squad that had won 23 of its 24 previous matchups. Lindenwood won by scores of 25-15, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17. The win kept the Lions tied atop the conference standings with Evangel.
Fandry recorded her second double-double in the past week, leading the attack with 16 kills and 14 digs. Yoder, who was named the HAAC Player of the Week on Monday, netted 11 kills and 10 blocks.
Victoria Krause added nine kills for the Lions.
Alyssa Showers had 28 digs and
Kelsey Biggs and
Patricia Erb each had 11. Biggs also recorded 36 assists.
Lindenwood (20-6, 5-0), who dropped one spot to 21 in the latest NAIA poll released earlier today, will return home this weekend for a conference match against Benedictine on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
