Lindenwood Men's Soccer Can't Take Advantage Of Strong Start

The Lions men's soccer team could not take advantage of a strong first half and it came back to haunt them as Lindenwood fell 2-0 to NCAA Division II Quincy.

In the first 45 minutes, the Lions defense allowed just one shot and Lindenwood goalie Victor Francoz did not have to make a single save. The Lions did not have much more luck though in their offensive end, taking just four shots.

Quincy quickly took control of the game in the second half, scoring on a breakaway goal just 44 seconds into the period. Another breakaway goal in the 56th minute put the Hawks comfortably ahead. Lindenwood ended up being outshot 8-3 in the final half and only put one shot on goal.

Lindenwood will look to break into the win column tomorrow afternoon against another NCAA opponent, Christian Brothers.
