The Lindenwood men's soccer team recorded its seventh shutout of the season on Wednesday night beating the Central Methodist Eagles 1-0 in Fayette, Mo.

The Lions' offense broke through early scoring the game's first goal just 10 minutes into the game. Hannes Backstrom would score his team leading fifth goal of the season to give the Lions the 1-0 lead. The contest would stay that way for the rest of the game and the Lions would win 1-0.

Victor Francoz was once again stellar in net for the Lions stopping all five of the Eagles shot attempts.

With the win the Lions improved their overall record to 11-5 and 4-3 in HAAC play. Up next for the Lions is a home contest against HAAC rival Graceland University.
