The Lindenwood Lady Lions basketball team travelled to Missouri Baptist University on Saturday night and fell to the Spartans 88-61.

From the opening tip the Spartans were in complete control. The home team outscored the Lady Lions 46-28 in the first half. After the break Missouri Baptist kept the pressure on Lindenwood and would roll to the win.

Leading the way for the Lady Lions was Kelly Albers who recorded her second straight double-double with 10 rebounds and 16 points. Ten different Lady Lions scored at least a point but the thorn in the side for the squad was turnovers. Lindenwood would commit 26 on the night.

With the loss the Lady Lions drop to 2-2 and will take on Columbia College Thursday night in Columbia, Mo.
