The Lindenwood Lady Lions traveled to Hannibal, Mo. on Tuesday night to take on the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans. Lindenwood shot over 60 percent from the field in the second half but fell to the home team 70-65.
In the opening half both teams struggled shooting the ball. The Lady Lions made only nine shots in 30 attempts while the Trojans made just 10 of 27. After the sluggish start the home team would hold a three-point lead heading into the locker room.
The final half was a completely different story for both teams. They would both shoot 60 percent in the final half but the Lady Lions could not overcome the deficit and fell to the Trojans 70-65.
Leading the way for Lindenwood was Sarah Schnieders who poured in a season-high 25 points. Abby Schultenhenrich chipped in with 11 points and Kelly Albers led the way on the boards with five rebounds.
With the loss the Lady Lions drop their record to 3-4 and will have a few days off until the team travels to Fisk University next week.
