Lady Lions Improve to 2-0 With Win Over Harris-Stowe

The Lindenwood Lady Lions basketball team went on the road for the first time the season and beat Harris-Stowe 80-45.

The first half was all Lindenwood, the Lady Lions outscored the home team 38-21. Harris-Stowe struggled shooting the ball in the opening half connecting on just seven of 29 shots.

After the break it was much of the same for the visitors. Lindenwood would outscore the Hornets 42-24 and ran away for the win 80-45.

Megan Lankford led the way for the Lady Lions scoring 11 points while Kelly Albers led the way on the glass with 13 rebounds. All 11 Lady Lions played and all 11 scored at least two points.

Lindenwood would shoot 37% from the field and 33% from behind the arc. The Lady Lions also out-rebounded Harris-Stowe 64-38 including a 30-12 margin on the offensive glass.

With the win the Lady Lions improve to 2-0 on the young season and will take on No. 25 McKendree Tuesday night at the Hyland Arena.
