The Lady Lions would hold onto the 1-0 lead until the 16th minute when the Wildcats tied the score at one. Just nine minutes later Baker would score again and take the 2-1 lead. After three quick goals neither team would score the rest of the first half.

Trailing by a goal Jenni Tenholder would tie the game up for the Lady Lions with help from Kendall Kravec. But just six minutes later Baker would once again take a one goal lead. Lindenwood would not give in scoring just five minutes later to tie the score again. The game would stay tied at three and would go into overtime.
