The Lady Lions took on a team outside their conference for the final time in 2009-10 when they traveled to No. 12 McKendree. After the Bearcats dominated the first half, the Lady Lions fought back but fell, 77-66.
McKendree jumped out to an early lead on the Lady Lions in the first half with help from 60 percent three point shooting. The Bearcats took an 11 point lead to the locker room, 40-28.
Once again, the Lady Lions did not give up in the second stanza. Lindenwood actually took a two point lead with just over nine minutes to play in the game. After the Lady Lions took the lead, McKendree came right back with a big run to give them its 23rd win of the season.
Lindenwood was led by Abby Schultenhenrich led the team with 15 points while Christina Edwards pitched in with 14.
