The Lindenwood Lady Lions soccer team went on the road Thursday night to take on undefeated and No. 8 McKendree University in Lebannon, Ill. McKendree would take an early 3-0 lead and would close the game out beating the Lady Lions 4-1.
The first half was a back and forth affair as neither team could muster a goal until the 43rd minute. McKendree's Erin Kilian would score her first of three goals on the night to give the home team a 1-0 lead heading into the locker room.
As the second half began it was all McKendree. The Bearcats scored in the 58th and 68th minutes to take a commanding 3-0 lead. The Lady Lions would score their only goal via a penalty shot taken by Jenni Tenholder. McKendree would finish off the scoring in the 87th minute and cruise to a 4-1 win.
With the loss the Lady Lions drop to 2-4 on the year and will began conference play on Saturday when MidAmerica Nazarene will visit Harlen C. Hunter Stadium.
