Lions Continue to Stay Hot Beating Culver-Stockton 4-0

The No. 24 Lindenwood men's soccer team continued its hot start to the season when it dominated the Culver-Stockton Wildcats on the road 4-0. The Lions' defense continued to dominate recording its fifth shutout of the season.

Lindenwood got the scoring kicked off in the 21st minute when Victor Buchim scored his first goal of the season. The score would remain 1-0 heading into the half but the Lions were starting to put a lot of pressure on the Wildcats defense.

That pressure continued as Azeem Razwan would score just 13 minutes into the second half to extend the Lions lead to 2-0. Just four minutes later Mark Mirth would score to give the Lions lead 3-0. Mirth would finish off the scoring with his second goal of the game in the 77th minute to help the Lions to the 4-0 win. The second half was dominate by the Lions as they took 16 shots in which seven of them were on goal.

Victor Francoz started in the net for the Lions and recorded another shutout, his fifth of the year, and has not given up a goal in 180 minutes.

With the win the Lions extend its record to 8-2 and a 2-0 mark in the HAAC. Up next for the Lions is another conference match-up against Avila on Saturday afternoon.
