Complete Game Notes in .pdf format here

Storyline

For the first time in almost three weeks the Lady Lions will take the court after a loss. Lindenwood's six- game winning streak was snapped against Benedictine and now the Lady Lions will look to start a new streak against a pair of Wildcats.

First up for the Lady Lions is a road game against the Culver-Stockton Wildcats. Earlier this season the Lady Lions beat the Wildcats in St. Charles.

To wrap up the week, Lindenwood will return home to battle the Baker Wildcats. This is also the second meeting of the season between these two teams. The Wildcats beat the Lady Lions in Baldwin City earlier this season.

Lindenwood has made it to the halfway point of the HAAC season with a record of 7-3, which is the team's best record at the halfway point since the 2000-01 season.

Last Time Out
The Lady Lions had their six game winning-streak snapped Monday night after a 69-56 loss to the Benedictine Ravens.

Benedictine employed a press most of the game, which flustered the Lady Lions' offense into a season-high 26 turnovers, including 19 in the first half.

Two Lady Lions scored in double-figures led by Morgan Harrington's 14. Kelly Albers pitched in with 11 points and seven rebounds. Schultenhenrich scored nine and Schnieders added eight points. Christina Edwards led the team in rebounds with nine.

Lindenwood shot 40 percent from the field for the game, which included the team attempting just 18 shots in the first half, compared to Benedictine's 31. The Lady Lions also shot 40 percent from behind the three-point line and 72 percent from the free-throw line.

HAAC Numbers Halfway

The Lady Lions are now 10 games into their HAAC schedule, which is the halfway point. Through the first 10 games of the conference schedule the Lady Lions are scoring 66.3 points and giving up just 60.3. The team is shooting .445 from the field and .718 from the free throw line.

The Lady Lions are second in the conference in scoring, free throw percentage, field goal percentage, and scoring margin (+6).

Individually, Kelly Albers has been a major contributor in conference games. She is scoring 12.4 points, which is ninth in the conference. She is also second in rebounding, and is first with her six double-doubles.

Halftime Lead = Win
If the Lady Lions head to the locker room with a lead they do not give it up. In 10 games that the team has led at half, its record is a perfect 10-0.

Stellar Defense
Defense has been a strong teaching point for head coach Tony Francis and the teaching has spilled over to the court. Lindenwood's defense is only giving up 63.4 points a night and has held opponents to under 37 percent shooting.

When the Lady Lions hold opponents under 70 points the team is 10-1.

Home Court Advantage
Lindenwood has compiled a record of 6-2 in eight games this season at the Hyland Arena. The Lady Lions program has not finished above .500 at home since the 2008-09 season.

Young Talent
The 2010-11 edition of the Lady Lions is a very young squad. The roster has a total of seven freshmen. The seven freshmen have combined for 24 starts and are averaging a combined 22.9 points a game. Caroline Bourlioux leads the group averaging 6.6 points a night.

Streaked Snapped
With the loss on Monday night against the Benedictine Ravens the Lady Lions had their six game winning-streak snapped. The streak was the longest since the 2000-01 season.

Abby's Stellar Career
Abby Schultenhenrich continues to climb up the career leader board at Lindenwood. The senior is eighth all-time with 101 career three-pointers made.

Dominating The Boards
One thing that has been a constant for the Lady Lions is the way the team rebounds the ball. Lindenwood has outrebounded its opponents in all but six games. When the Lady Lions lead the battle on the boards, they have a record of 10-3. The team has a season rebounding margin of +3.5 on the year.
