Box Score The Lindenwood Lions soccer team had its five-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night when it fell to Columbia College 1-0 in St. Charles.
For most of the opening half, both teams played a very defensive style of soccer. It wasn't until the final 13 minutes when the complexion of the game changed. Columbia College had a flurry in front of the net which led to the Cougars scoring the first goal and also led to Lindenwood goalie Franc Sans being issued a red card. For the remainder of the game, the Lions were forced to play a man down.
The contest headed into the half with Columbia College leading 1-0. The second half, the Lions played from behind and could not get the equalizer.
With the loss, the Lions drop to 9-7. Up next for the Lions is a road game against Missouri Baptist on Oct. 31.
