The Lindenwood women's volleyball team finished the Sioux Falls Halloween Classic with a perfect 4-0 record. The Lady Lions clinched that mark with wins over Valley City State and Sioux Falls on Saturday.
Lindenwood knocked off Valley City State by scores of 28-26, 25-15, and 25-13.
Katie Weber continued her strong tournament with team-highs of 10 kills and four blocks. The setting duo of
Emma Brydels and
Kelsey Biggs combined for 40 assists, and Biggs had three service aces.
Kaila Schrimpf had a team-high 18 digs.
The second match was a lot tighter as the Lady Lions survived 25-14, 25-19, 23-25, 16-25, and 17-15.
Ellen Fandry had a team-high 18 kills, one more than teammate
Erin Anselman. Webber finished with 11 kills and five blocks, and
Kristy Dreisewerd had 10 kills. The two setters had a combined 53 assists, Schrimpf had a team-high 17 digs, and Fandry recorded four service aces.
Lindenwood has now won eight of its last nine matches, and it is 22-12 on the season. The Lady Lions will next travel to Missouri S&T on Tuesday evening.
