The Lindenwood women's volleyball team fell to Quincy on Tuesday night at Hyland Arena by a 3-1 score. The Lady Hawks won by scores of 25-15, 25-22, 13-25, and 25-21.
The Lady Lions struggled scoring points off their serve in the match, as Quincy had nearly a 70 percent sideout percentage in the three sets that it won. The lone exception came in the third set when Lindenwood hit .370 and held Quincy to negative hitting during the Lady Lions one set victory on the night.
The final stats were nearly identical. Quincy had a .219 hitting percentage, compared to .203 for Lindenwood. The Lady Lions also made two more hitting errors, three more service errors, and one more receiving error.
Katie Weber and
Kristy Dreisewerd both had 11 kills and hit over .300 for the match. Setters
Kelsey Biggs and
Emma Brydels combined for 45 assists, four aces, and 14 digs.
Kaila Schrimpf was the team leader with 18 digs, and Weber had a team-high four blocks.
Lindenwood falls to 10-8 with the loss. The Lady Lions will next compete in the Washington University Tournament in St. Louis this Friday and Saturday.
