Lady Lions Blank Park 2-0

Box Score The Lindenwood women's soccer team ended its four-game goalless streak with a 2-0 victory over Park on Wednesday night at Hunter Stadium.

The Lady Lions put an end to their drought thirty minutes into the first half, when Ashley Kulavic served a ball into the box and the ball was mishandled by the goalkeeper, ending up on the foot of Bailey Cody for a tap-in goal.

Courtney Bresnahan was all over the field creating havoc for the Park defenders frequently. Bresnahan's pressure came to fruition twenty minutes into the second half when she gained possession about thirty yards out. She took a few touches and unleashed a curling shot inside the far upper corner of the net.

Lindenwood held a good portion of the possession in the final half to conserve the shutout. Jade Davis got the start in goal for the Lady Lions, stopping all four shots she faced.

With the win, the Lady Lions moved their record to 5-3-2 overall, and will head to Claremore, Okla. to take on Rogers State on Saturday, and then the University of Science and Arts on Sunday.
