Lions Win Second Straight Game

Box Score The Lindenwood men's soccer team beat Rogers State 1-0 on Saturday afternoon in Claremore, Okla.

The first half was a highly physical contest in which neither team was able to score a goal. Late in the opening half Lindenwood's Azeem Razwan was given his second yellow card of the half which resulted in a red card and forcing the Lions to play a man down for the rest of the game.

Finally, in the 70th minute Tiago Baptista Pereira broke through and gave Lindenwood a 1-0 lead. The lead held up and Franc Reolid Sanz recorded his second straight shutout.

It was a physical game between the two teams. They combined for 31 fouls and six cards, five yellows, and two red cards.

With the win the Lions improve to 6-7 and will take on the University of Science and Arts tomorrow afternoon.
