Women's Basketball Struggles Shooting and Fall to Drury

Box Score  The Lindenwood Lady Lions basketball team snapped its three-game winning streak Tuesday night after falling to Drury 59-49 in Springfield, Mo.

It was a tough night shooting the ball for Lindenwood, as the Lady Lions made just 18-of-51 shots from the field and just 2-of-7 from behind the three-point arc.

After the first 20 minutes, the Panthers were leading 25-16. Lindenwood shot just 25 percent from the floor in the opening half. The second half saw the home team outscore the Lady Lions by one, but held on for the 10-point victory.

Leading the way for Lindenwood, was Sarah Schnieders who scored 14 points, grabbed four rebounds, and compiled four steals. Marissa Lehnig chipped in with 11 points and Caroline Bourlioux grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

Lindenwood's defense did play well on Tuesday night surrendering just 59 points and forcing Drury into 27 turnovers.   

The loss dropped the Lady Lions to 3-3. Up next for Lindenwood is a road contest against NCAA Division I Southeast Missouri State on Saturday night.
