Box Score The Lindenwood women's basketball team beat the Harris-Stowe Hornets 89-63 on Tuesday night in St. Louis, Mo.
It was all Lindenwood from the opening tip. The Lady Lions made five of their first seven shots to jump out to a nine-point lead, and they never looked back. The lead was 14 at the end of the first 20 minutes.
The second half was much of the same for Lindenwood. The lead grew to 18 points after the first 10 minutes and got as high as 27 during the final five minutes.
The Lady Lions shot 54 percent from the field compared to the Hornets' 32 percent. Lindenwood outrebounded the home team 54-32.
Sarah Schnieders led the way for the Lady Lions, scoring 17 points and adding eight rebounds.
Caroline Bourlioux and
Morgan Harrington each scored 16 points.
With the win, Lindenwood evens its record at 4-4. Up next are two games at the MidAmerica Nazarene Classic.
