Box Score The Lindenwood Lady Lions used a career night from
Caroline Bourlioux and a dominating first half to roll to the team's third win in a row. The Lady Lions beat Robert Morris 87-53 Saturday night at the MidAmerica Nazarene Classic in Olathe, Kan.
Bourlioux led the way for the Lady Lions with a career-high 25 points on 11-for-14 shooting. She also grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists.
The first half was all Lindenwood as the Lady Lions shot 62 percent from the field and held the Eagles to just 17 points. Robert Morris made just six shots in the first half and was one-for-14 from behind the three point line. The first half came to a close with the Lady Lions leading 48-17.
Robert Morris played the second half closer, but the Lindenwood lead was too much. The Lady Lions shot 56 percent from the field, compared to the Eagles 26 percent. Robert Morris was two-for-24 from behind the arc which was good for just eight percent. Lindenwood won the battle of the boards 49-32 and forced the Eagles into 13 turnovers.
Morgan Harrington was second on the team in scoring with 13 points and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds.
Katie Brown also scored a career-high 12 points and
Julie Hlinak chipped in with 10 points.
The win improves the Lady Lions record to 6-4. The team is off until Dec. 28 when Lindenwood travels to Hawaii for a two-game swing against Hawaii-Hilo and Chaminade.
