Lions Finish Las Vegas Invitational 3-0

Box Score The Lindenwood men's basketball team finished off the Las Vegas Invitational with a 3-0 record. The Lions won their final game 72-53 over the Daemen Wildcats Friday night in Las Vegas, Nev.

For the third straight game in Las Vegas, the Lions used a strong first half to jump out to a big lead. The opening half saw Lindenwood shoot 52 percent from the field and held the Wildcats to just 28 points. The Lions led at the intermission 41-28. The final half was all about the Lindenwood defense. The Lions held Daemen to just nine field goals and 39 percent shooting.

Lindenwood shot 45 percent from the field and 44 percent from behind the three-point line for the game. The Lions outrebounded Daemen 41-32 and compiled six blocks, and six steals.

Kramer Soderberg led the way scoring 22 points. Alex Bazzell chipped in with 16 points while grabbing a team-high seven rebounds, and dishing out three assists. Tyler Ressell had another big night scoring 14 points.

With the win the Lions have now won 10 games in a row and are 13-1. Up next for Lindenwood is a home game against Central Bible on Thursday night.
