The No. 7 Lindenwood men's basketball team fell in its season finale on Saturday afternoon at Hyland Arena with a 69-64 loss to William Jewell. With the loss, the Lions end up sharing the HAAC Championship with Evangel and Lindenwood will be the two seed in the upcoming HAAC Tournament.

Lindenwood trailed almost the entire game but nearly stole the victory down the stretch. The Lions went on a 10-2 run and took a 63-62 lead with just over two minutes remaining. William Jewell responded though with a three-pointer on its next possession. After Lindenwood missed a three-pointer, the Cardinals hit another field goal with 19 seconds remaining to go up four points. The Lions cut it to three with a free throw, but William Jewell sealed the contest with two free throws with five seconds remaining.

Kramer Soderberg led Lindenwood with 16 points and three steals. Brett Thompson had 13 points and team-highs of 11 rebounds and three assists. Alfred Nelson was in double-figures with 12 points. Richard Rose and Alex Bazzell finished with eight and seven points, respectively, and each had two steals.
