The Lindenwood men's soccer team won its first game of the season with a thrilling 1-0 overtime win over the Truman State Bulldogs Wednesday night in St. Charles.

Franc Reolid Sanz was the difference in the first half making four key saves. The game headed into the halftime break knotted up at zero.
The final half was a half that was mostly dominated by the Lions. Lindenwood compiled seven shots compared to Truman's two. But the Lions were unable to get one by Truman goalie, Tyler Knierim.
Just 1:44 into overtime,
Hernan Gonzalez took advantage of a loose ball in the penalty area, and buried the ball into the corner of the goal to give the Lions a huge victory.
With the win the Lions improve their record to 1-4 and Truman drops to 2-3. Up next for the Lions is another home game Friday night against Oakland City.
