Box Score The Lindenwood Lady Lions soccer team won its second game of the season Tuesday night after a 2-1 win over Maryville University in St. Louis.
The Saints took the early 1-0 lead when Cydney Robertson scored in the 12th minute. Just four minutes later the Lady Lions were awarded a penalty shot, and Jennifer Tenholder capitalized to tie the score.
The game stayed knotted up until the 75th minute when Elizabeth Pivin scored to give Lindenwood a 2-1 lead. That is how the game finished and the Lady Lions moved to 2-0. Whitney Calvin started in the net for Lindenwood and recorded her second win of the season.
Up next for the Lady Lions will be the team's home opener on September 13th against McKendree.
