Six different Lions scored in double-figures and the Lindenwood men's basketball team earned a 77-49 win over Northeastern State on Saturday afternoon at Hyland Arena.
For the second straight game, Lindenwood won the game with a big second half. Despite shooting just 31.3 percent from the field in the first half, the Lions still lead 34-24 at halftime.
Alex Bazzell had 13 points in the first 20 minutes and
Garrett Reeg scored eight.
In the second half, Lindenwood outscored the Riverhawks by a 43-25 margin, including a 31-10 mark over the first 12 minutes of the period. The Lions shot 63 percent in the second half, hit eight-of-11 three-pointers, and held Northeastern State to just 29 percent shooting from the field.
Kramer Soderberg finished the game with a team-high 14 points and five assists. Ten of his points came during Lindenwood's run to start the second half. Bazzell finished with 13 points and four assists,
Efkan Eren had 12 points and nine rebounds, and Reeg recorded 10 points and seven boards.
Michael Boos and
Tyler Ressel both came off the bench to score 10 points. Boos was perfect shooting as he was four-of-four from the field, including two-of-two from three-point range.
Lindenwood improves to 18-2 on the season with the victory. It will continue its homestand on Monday evening with a 7 p.m. game against Webster.
