Box Score The Lindenwood Lions had six players score in double figures and trailed for just 30 seconds on the way to an 85-61 win over the Lincoln Blue Tigers on Saturday night at the Hyland Arena.
The first 20 minutes saw the Lions dominate the play inside the paint. Lindenwood outscored the Blue Tigers 18-8 inside and held a 41-26 lead going into the locker room.
Lincoln came out of the halftime break and made its first seven-of-12 shots to cut the Lions lead to nine. But that was as close as the visitors got. Lindenwood answered the Blue Tigers run with a 33-9 run over an eight minute span to blow the game open.
The Lions shot 55 percent from the field and 33 percent from behind the arc. Lindenwood outrebounded Lincoln 36-33 and compiled 19 assists on offense.
Kramer Soderberg led the way for the Lions scoring 17 points and dishing out four assists.
Alex Bazzell chipped in with 12 points and a game-high seven assists.
Richie Thompson recorded his second double-double of the year with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Garrett Reeg also scored in double figures with 10.
Lindenwood's bench outscored Lincoln's 32-0, led by
Tyler Ressel who scored 14.
Michael Boos also came off the bench to pour in 11, on four-of-nine shooting.
The win was the Lions fifth in a row and improves their record to 21-2. Up next for Lindenwood is another home game on Tuesday night against Culver-Stockton at 7 p.m.
