Box Score The Lindenwood women's basketball team won its third straight game on Saturday as the Lady Lions beat the Oakland City Lady Oaks 71-67.
Lindenwood secured a 32-31 lead at the end of the first half. Although, the Lady Oaks came out to a strong start in the second half, the Lady Lions outscored Oakland City 39-36 to give Lindenwood the win at 71-67.
Caroline Bourlioux and
Morgan Harrington led the team in points with 19 apiece. Bourlioux also recorded 10 rebounds while Harrington posted four and was four-for-seven from three point range.
Marissa Lehnig chipped in with 15 points and seven boards.
Lindenwood shot only 43 percent from the field but was 53 percent from behind the three-point line. Defensively, the Lady Lions were able to cause 20 Lady Oak turnovers along with outrebounding Oakland City 45-33.
With the win Lindenwood is now 13-7. The Lady Lions will be back on the road Thursday, Feb. 2 as they travel to Wilberforce, Ohio to take on Central State University.
