Box Score The Lindenwood Lion men's soccer team beat the Harding Bison 2-1 on Saturday night at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles.
The Lions got the scoring going with just over 11 minutes to play in the first half.
Andre Hayne scored his third goal of the season to give the home team a 1-0 advantage. Lindenwood dominated the first 45 minutes outshooting the Bison 6-0.
Lindenwood scored the first goal of the second half just five minutes in. Daniel Fernandez netted his first goal of the season. Harding cut the lead to one with just under three minutes to play but could not get the equalizer.
Fermin Hughes started in goal for the home team and stopped all but one of the five shots that came his way.
With the win Lindenwood improves to 8-2-3 on the season. Up next for the Lions is another conference game on the road against Truman State on Oct. 19.
